Here's the Story:

After three years I was able to finally close the chapter on a buck I called The Ghost. I called him The Ghost for obvious reasons. Over the past three years we had only seen this deer about 5 times on the game cameras and a few times out in the pasture after the seasons had ended. Yesterday was my first actual encounter with him as I watched him follow in a doe. There was no mistaking his unique characteristics with any of the other bucks that I had seen. I knew all of my hard work and patience was finally about to pay off. There were several times I wanted to give up on this buck but I knew he would eventually slip up. He isn’t the biggest trophy buck around but he’s my trophy buck. I worked hard to try and understand the pattern of this buck. The weather, the rut, and the moon set up the perfect evening hunt for me yesterday. I’m beyond excited that I was able to finally harvest him.
